SOUL CAMP
A retreat where play and presence walk your inner child home to your inner sage
At a certain point on the spiritual path, the work moves beyond soothing suffering and begins to awaken us to the innate goodness pulsing through this life: aliveness, love, joy, and play. Once we’ve done the grounding work of regulating the nervous system and choosing safety, peace, and values, another invitation appears. Does the path have to remain centered on being with difficulty, or can it expand into leela, the divine play of opening fully to the abundance of life?
Pema Chödrön reminds us, “We can let the circumstances of our lives harden us, or we can let them soften us.” When we soften into presence, we see that vitality has been here all along, not in quick bursts of ecstasy, but in the steady abundance of life force that never leaves us.
Mindfulness liberates us from mental constrictions so we can live this precious life spontaneously, imaginatively, and playfully. As we learn to play with life, life plays with us. This is leela. As Ram Dass said, “The game is not about becoming somebody, it’s about becoming nobody… when we release who we think we’re supposed to be, what’s left is spontaneous and free.”
Over the course of our time together at Whispertree in the redwood-lined valley of Mendocino, we’ll weave practices of presence with practices of play. Mornings invite yoga, meditation, and somatic workshops that nurture connection to body, breath, and heart. Afternoons open into the joy of nature and creativity through hiking, swimming in the pond, painting, dancing, wine tasting, choose your own adventure. Evenings gather us under the stars in the joy of community with sound baths, music, and conversation.
And because we know transformation doesn’t happen in isolation, Soul Camp is intentionally rooted close to San Francisco so the connections you form here don’t dissolve when you return home. This is about building conscious community that supports you long after the retreat ends.
This is your invitation to soften into play, awe, and wonder. To remember that presence and joy are not separate. To come alive to the fullness of your life and to share that light with others.
Soul Camp is our soulful rebellion, a retreat where play and presence become medicine. A retreat where your inner child meets your inner sage. Where yoga and mindfulness ground us, and the spirit of play reminds us that awakening isn’t only serious but about remembering how to experience the full range of this life.

Your Retreat Refuge
Soul Camp will be hosted at Whispertree, a 200-acre sanctuary in Mendocino’s Anderson Valley devoted to regeneration, reverence, and embodied transformation. Surrounded by redwoods, meadows, and a spring-fed swimming pond, the land itself invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember your place in the more-than-human world.
Accommodations are cozy and intentional, with private cabins and shared spaces designed for rest and connection. Farm-to-table meals highlight the abundance of the valley, while amenities such as the cedar hot tub, forest trails, and starlit skies create space for nourishment between practices.
The land, the spaces, the meals, and the design all carry an intention to support community, presence, and play.

Hi, I’m Taylor 👋
For the past five years, I've been blending sound, movement, mindfulness, and embodiment to create transformative experiences. My work is grounded in the healing power of community, where coming together fosters inner exploration, self-discovery, and authentic connection. I host monthly community sound baths, offer 1:1 mindfulness coaching, and lead workshops focused on nervous system regulation and restoration.
Nature, Eastern philosophy, and somatic methodologies are my greatest teachers, and their wisdom shapes my integrative approach. I bring over 500 hours of training in vinyasa, hatha, restorative yoga, and sound ceremony, alongside my studies as a Master’s student in Somatic Psychology. My style is playful, warm, and nurturing, creating a space where your mind, body, and spirit can rest and feel at ease.
The alpine landscape is my safe haven. When I decided to bring this community international, I knew I wanted us to gather in places where mother nature is the main event and your whole body can exhale the second you arrive. Going on retreat has been a transformational part of my journey and I cannot wait to share this gift with you. You deserve rest and to be showered with care. I’ll see you in the woods!
With love always,
Taylor
Hi, I’m Jenny 🌿
Yoga has been my anchor since 2012, guiding me through both light and shadow. Over the years, I’ve taught in San Francisco, Boulder, and New York City, and studied across many schools of yoga with over 1,000 hours of training. I’m also a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) through Prema Yoga Institute, where I learned to integrate therapeutic principles that make yoga accessible and inclusive for all.
My teaching blends mindful flow, alignment, and intention. I care about creating a space where you can turn inward, listen deeply, and honor both your strength and your softness. Through personalized guidance and encouragement, I help students and clients find their own paths to wellness, meeting each person exactly where they are. Whether in a class, private session, or retreat, my hope is that you leave feeling more connected to yourself and at ease in your body.
As a writer and educator, I contribute regularly to Yoga Journal and am the author of Blockasanas and The Complete Guide to Yoga Props, both created to help students and teachers explore yoga with curiosity and confidence.
Beyond the mat, nature and adventure are constant teachers, reminding me of resilience, balance, and joy. On retreat, I love witnessing how practice, community, and time in nature come together to help us see ourselves more clearly and embrace every part of who we are.
With gratitude,
Jenny
